Well, imagine a place so magic and pure, so quiet yet restless, where the only thing you could hear is the sound of your own breath. Then, put to that place endless vivid colors, yellow, red, blue, green.. Add some kind and majestic inhabitants, who are suspicious but always keen on welcoming you and show you around, while showing off the beauty and grace of their limitless hometown. Finally, imagine yourself always being calm, peaceful, yet amazed, your mind is empty of all thoughts and burdens, your body with no sense of gravity. You are flying. You are underwater.

If you haven’t put on your scuba fins yet, let’s take a look at some underwater terms without losing the magic.
The term Scuba is in fact an acronym, established to make our lives easier. It stands for Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus, which surely needs to be translated! In plain english those five words mean that Scuba Diving is, in fact, a way of Diving with an underwater «device» which gives you independence and freedom underwater, allowing you to stay under the surface for a long time, without the need neither to be close to the surface so that you can breathe from a tube (snorkeling) nor the need to come out of the water to breathe and then dive back in (free diving). So what do you do? Well, you are breathing underwater! Yea, that’s right, you are in fact breathing underwater, at the same pace and rhythm that you are breathing daily with the difference that instead of breathing in and out your nose, you are breathing in and out of your mouth through a fancy regulator, which supplies you with air from a bottle, which is attached to a jacket you are wearing.
So what do you do? Well, you are breathing underwater!

As you can imagine, being able to breath underwater, apart from being a big dream itself, allows you to have a second, temporary, underwater life. Now, how cool is that?
And yet, you’ve seen nothing. This life is equally interesting and full of things to experience like the life on shore. But it is much purer. Still wondering what’s there to discover? Hmm, let’s put some things on your list:
Spot numerous corals and reefs, of various shapes, sizes and colors, get hypnotized by the smooth dance of the anemones, which follow the current, play hide and seek with endless fish, octopus and sea creatures, watch the majestic way in which a dolphin swims, follow a sea turtle, explore an old shipwreck or underwater caves, discover sea inhabitants in deep depths, who do not see the sunlight very often, feel small next to a gigantic but harmless tuna or grouper, count millions of swells, so beautiful that is hard to believe that they are not washed out from a fairytale. And for the brave? Sharks in shark specific shark spots, rays, manta rays…
And now how can you do all that? Take a scuba diving course of an intro dive. There are numerous diving centers across the globe, all located in areas of special interested and beauty, with lot to discover. From the first dive till your 50th of 296988th dive, you will always be with your scuba buddy, who in your first dive will be your Instructor and once you became a certified and experienced diver, your friend who will be equally certified and into scuba diving as you. That, automatically makes scuba diving a safe recreational activity, as you always have somebody next you you, ion case anything happens. But, apart from that, Scuba equipment have became so efficient over the years, that includes in itself various safeguards, making the diver feel safe and self-confident.

After your intro dive you can choose to become a certified diver with taking a scuba course. For example, PADI, one the most recognized Associations of Diving Instructor across the globe, offers a great variety of scuba courses, starting from the basic Open Water Scuba Diving course and developing to Scuba Instructor course.
